About

20230901_093239.jpg

Sandrine was born in France and had a "nomadic life" due to her career choice. Her heart has always been close to a Volcano chain in Central France, where she settled a few years ago, and the Alps, her favourite playground for outdoor lifestyle. Later in life, after a career change, she took a significant step and relocated to the Great Albion in Stockport, Greater Manchester.

Medium and Inspiration

She has a natural affinity for painting landscapes, as wild places feel like her true "natural habitat" in life.

Her work evolves as she experiments with different techniques and draws inspiration from her imagination and her own photography.

Oil paint is her primary medium, she enjoys mainly applying on board for its tactile nature.

The Beauty of Imperfection

Guided by her concern for the environment, she explores ways to reuse and recycle materials, finding beauty in their imperfections. Old boards with visible flaws inspire her, adding depth and character to her work.

To protect both her health and the environment, she makes conscious choices about her use of material— simple yet meaningful choices aligned with her values.

A Lifelong Journey

Her passion for art began at a young age, with an early interest in drawing, painting, and experimenting with various media. She is a self-taught artist who embraces her instincts as a guide to discovering her authentic creative voice.

Strokes as Words

For her, painting is a language of its own, offering the freedom to express what words often cannot. Her brushstrokes, colours, and lines are conveying emotions and perspectives that go beyond verbal communication.
